Vacation Rentals in Kona Hawaii
If you haven’t made your vacation plans for this year, here is a great suggestion. How about a vacation rental in Kona Hawaii for a week? Sounds like paradise, doesn’t it? The surprisingly nice part of this vacation is the cost!
Several airlines have new service to Kona, Hawaii. In fact some of the new routes send you to Kona first, even if your destination is one of the other islands. So why not just plan to stay in beautiful, wonderful, sunny Kona?
Kona is situated on the dry side of the Big Island of Hawaii. This island is the home of the active volcano Kilauea. Unlike other volcanoes that have been in the news recently, Kilauea is usually does not cause much disruption of daily activities. From Kona, the volcanoes of the Big Island are an easy day trip by rental car or on a group tour.
In checking on availability for the summer of 2010, it looks like you can have your pick of almost any property and date. Hawaii has not been immune to the economic woes that have struck us all. Fewer travelers however do mean special deals are available. If fall is more to your liking, be aware that the Ironman Triathlon occurs in October. Those dates fill up very fast, and some properties will have a premium charge added.
One of the properties I was looking at in Kona features a 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo in a gated community. It has kitchen and laundry facilities in your home away from home, ocean views and a large swimming pool. It accommodates 6 people and the cost is $700 for the week. Catch an airline ticket on sale, and you have a very reasonable vacation.
If a vacation rental home is what you had in mind, I found an incredible 3 bedroom house. The rental for this house is $1653 for the week and this includes all fees and the refundable security deposit. The house is fully equipped with all the kitchenware and linens that you will need.
This house comes with a great swimming pool and a gorgeous ocean view. I must admit cooking and laundry is not the favorite activity of the family while we are on vacation. It is almost essential when airlines are charging extra for baggage, to pack light and do a bit of laundry while on vacation.
If you are staying in a vacation rental with a washer and dryer, that becomes so easy to do. Toss is a load while settling down for the night after a great day of sight seeing. The machines do all the work except for the folding and you still are relaxing in Hawaii, watching the sun set, or swimming in the pool, or just enjoying the sound of the ocean. It almost seems a shame to call doing laundry a chore in this setting.

Good, rent for a house instead of hotels may be excellent for vacations and visit the Kilauea Volcano and take some photos.
