The Time is Right to Plan that Fall Vacation

Summer activities are in full swing. The pools are open, the kids are out of school for the summer, and vacation destinations are crowded with families enjoying time together. Sounds great, but if this crowded, sweating vacation mass is not for you, how about planning a fall get away.

Most summer vacation spots are winding down in the fall, and the crowds are gone or al least thinning. However, there are some spots that offer great vacation rental bargains in the fall. A couple of fun destinations that come to mind are Hawaii and Disney. Is there ever a bad time to go to either place?

Disney caters to kids of all ages, but when the school aged kids are occupied by academic endeavors, the rest of us can enjoy a less crowded park. The same is true with Hawaii. The fall has a drop in tourists as the kids are back in school and the snow birds have not yet fled to this tropical paradise. Both areas offer substantial vacation rental discounts as compared with the summer and holidays high season prices.

In addition to Disney and Hawaii you might want to consider taking advantage of some of the fall festivals around other parts of the country. The Midwest has Branson, Missouri which is a summer vacation paradise in its own right. Fall brings a whole new feel to the area as the fall festivals and then Christmas celebrations take over.

Winter used to be a slow time for the Branson area but that is no longer true. You will need to get your vacation rental squared away as soon as possible. The Christmas lights at Silver Dollar City are spectacular and the area music shows change to a Christmas theme. This area is generally very crowded on the weekends, but if you are staying for a week, you will have plenty of non-crowded times to enjoy all the area has to offer.

The eastern seaboard has breathtaking colorful fall foliage that will make any vacation or just a long weekend a slice of heaven. Throw in an Oktoberfest and a great seaside vacation rental and you have a week to remember for a life time. Just me and thee and a cold stein of beer with a nice side of brats and potato pancakes make for perfection.

Don’t forget to check into other regional festivals that encompass the fall harvests. Apple gathering, pumpkin festivals, renaissance festivals, the list is almost endless. All made even better by a vacation rental property where you can bring back some of the day’s purchases for a relaxing supper after a long day of revelry.

Just imagine a nice glass of cold, fresh apple cider, perfectly grilled tuna steaks just the way you like them, crisp salad and some warm bread straight out of the oven. All prepared at your seaside cottage. I can almost smell the hickory smoke and ripe apples. Here’s to a great summer and an even more fun fall.
